Dunham Place Salon and Fair Folks & a Goat, an art and design gallery in Carnegie Hill, are pleased to announce Shape of the Line, curated by Amanda G. Schneider. Opening Saturday, March 12 from 5 - 8 pm and on view until May 9, 2011, the exhibition will include paintings, sculpture, collages, and prints by Agnes Barley, Matthew Craven, Josh Goldberg, Everest Hall, Elliott Puckette, Nathlie Provosty, Robert Raphael, and Mandolyn Wilson Rosen. Shape of the Line brings together the work of both emerging and established artists across a variety of media to explore the dynamic nature of the line. With a nod to the current Museum of Modern Art exhibtion On Line, the work presented demonstrates how line can be more than a delineation of form: it can be a point in motion, an illusion, and the subject itself. ![]() |
